Budget shortfall
The gap between income and the spending plan.
Result
Enter income and spending for the same period.
How this works
The gap is planned spending minus expected income. A positive gap is a shortfall. Zero means the plan meets. A negative gap is a surplus, shown as money left. If there is a shortfall and you enter a giver count, the page divides the gap by that count. It does not say anyone owes that amount. It is a way to see the size of the hole.
An example
A month with $8,200 expected and $9,100 planned, across 40 givers. The shortfall is $900, which is $22.50 if it were split evenly. That split is arithmetic, not an ask.
