Feed cost
Bags and dollars for a pen over a set number of days.
Result
Enter the head count, how much each one eats, and what a bag costs.
How this works
Total pounds is animals times pounds per day times days. Bags are that total divided by the bag weight, rounded up, because a partial bag still has to be bought. Cost is bags times price. Cost per animal and per day are that bill split evenly. It does not adjust for waste, weather, or animals that eat more than the average you typed.
An example
10 animals at 25 pounds a day for 30 days is 7,500 pounds. In 50-pound bags that is 150 bags. At $18 a bag the bill is $2,700, or $270 per animal.
