Etsy fee and profit

Listing, transaction, processing, and optional offsite ads.

US Etsy Payments rates were read from Etsy’s public pages on October 25, 2026. Check the live fee policy before you price a listing. This is not tax advice.

Enter a price. Fees and profit show up beside the form.

How this works

For a US seller, the transaction fee is 6.5% of the item price plus the shipping and gift wrap you charge. Sales tax is left out of that base. Payment processing is 3% of that same base plus sales tax, and then $0.25. The listing fee is $0.20 if you include it.

Offsite Ads, if you mark the order as attributed, is 15% or 12% of the item, shipping, and gift wrap, and it stops at $100 on one order. Profit is what the buyer paid you for goods and shipping, minus your costs, the shipping you pay, and those fees. Regulatory fees in some countries are not included.

An example

A $28 print, quantity 1, $5 shipping charged, $9 of materials, $4 of postage you pay, listing fee on, no offsite ads, no sales tax. Transaction fee is 6.5% of $33. Processing is 3% of $33 plus $0.25. The headline is what is left.
